Carter has an extensive tasting menu for you to enjoy.
Carter is the sister winery to South Coast. Carter is better for wine and South Coast has a great restaurant. Wines to checkout are the 21' Brut Rose and 15' Malbec.
Originally, my plan was to eat at Carter's restaurant. However, the tasting room staff seemed confused about the food options at the poolside grill and told me to go eat at South Coast instead. Carter doesn't have a campus you can walk, you have to drive. And, they close the gates at night so it's not a place you can sober up at after using an Uber to go to a few more wineries.
With some minor improvements to the wine as far as body and flavor, Carter could easily be one of the better wineries in the Temecula region. Also, the campus should become more inviting. It seems to be centered on a resort atmosphere for guests that stay further back.

This wine has an alcohol and plum nose. The flavor is oak with blueberry and plum. The body is lite, acidity is balanced and tanins are low too. This is noticeably better than the South Coast counterpart.
