Frangipani has patio seating in addition to tasting room seating.
I lived in Philadelphia for 3 years during grad school. So, I had to get the pierogies. It comes with sausage skewers too. Overall, the food here was good.
There is no fancy restaurant here, but the food here will beat some of the restaurants at other vineyards around.
Frangipani has an extensive wine tasting menu.
I'm not a fan of Sangiovese, however I felt this was a very good one. I bought a bottle to gift to a winemaker I know that specializes in Italian varietals.
Frangipani is a great winery. If I were to join a wine club in Temecula I would join this wine club first.
All of the wine here is worth trying and there are many options for seasoned wine drinkers. The wines here will be more full bodied and refined in flavor in comparison to most wineries in the Temecula Valley.
This wine has a floral nose with a hint of apple, pear and lemon zest. The taste is faintly reminiscent of green apple with low minerality. The body is lite.
This wine has a strawberry aroma with a hint of watermelon. There are strong melon flavors in this wine with a splash of berry and a honey finish. The body is good and acidity is mild.
This wine has a very nice black cherry and plum nose and flavor. The aroma is very reminiscent of a good Nebbiolo. It has a watery body typical of Sangiovese. This wine is a must try.
This wine has a nice berry aroma with hints of black licorice. The wine is fruit forward in flavor with restrained oak notes. It is high in tanins and acidity. It has a rich body. This would be a great steak wine.
This is a very good Syrah with cherry and berry notes.
Note: at this point I have eaten, so I can no longer detect tanins.
This wine is a blend of Cabernet Franc, Malbec and Syrah with a cherry and berry flavor. This is a nice blend with a good body. The acidity and tanins are balanced. I highly recommend.
Note: at this point I have eaten, so I can no longer detect tanins.
This wine is a blend of 75% Sangiovese and 25% Cabernet Sauvignon. It is a nicely balanced blend with a very light berry and plum aroma. It is fruit forward in flavor with an improved body and nice mature finish, in comparison to the regular Sangiovese. The acdity and tanins are balanced. This is a great alternative for someone that is not a fan of the body of Sangiovese.
