The wine at Longshadow is above average, but not good enough to rate higher than a 2. There are some wines here that are unique, so it's definitely worthwhile to make a visit.
Some of the wines I enjoyed here are the Estate Sangiovese, Tempranillo and Cabernet Franc.
This rose of Sangiovese has strong fruit aromatics, watermelon and peach. There is a refreshing fruit flavor, cantaloupe and strawberry. The body is good too.
This wine has a nice berry and mineral flavor. The body is loose (typical of Sangiovese), tanins are medium and acidity is balanced. This is a different Sangiovese than normal, but a very drinkable wine overall.
This wine has a floral and pepper nose. The taste is reminiscent of blueberry and raspberry with a tart finish. There is touch of acidity, although balanced. Tanins are low and body is good. This wine is very enjoyable for experienced wine drinkers.
This wine has an alcohol and boysenberry jam nose. There is a strong boysenberry flavor here with earthly notes. The acidity is balanced and tanins are high. This is not for traditional Cabernet Franc drinkers.
This wine is a bit funky on the nose. The body is muddled and flavor is a choppy berry. There is a lingering tart flavor too. The body is low for a Syrah. This wine is very disappointing.
