I purchased Lumiere's 19' Sauvignon Blanc and 17' Sauvignon Blanc due to the good value.
Overall, Lumiere has decent wine and is better than the typical winery in Temecula. However, this is a low 2.5 as there is just enough quality here to distinguish it from the 2 rated wineries.
I highly recommend trying the 19' Late Harvest Sauvignon Blanc and 12' Merlot.
This late harvest Sauvignon is 27 Brix. 22 Brix is considered dry. This wine has a sweet fig and nectarine aroma. It has a subtle apple and pear flavor with an earthly finish. The body is good. This is an interesting and unique wine.
This Sauvignon Blanc is 23 Brix, which is just one week after optimal dry picking. This wine has an apple, pear and citrus nose. There is a hint of well done pizza crust too. This is probably residual yeast in the wine due to sur lie aging. The flavor is pasta, pear and raspberry with an earthly mineral finish. The body is good. The body is good.
This wine has a strawberry jam and pepper nose. The flavor is reminiscent of blueberry, cherry and boysenberry. Overall, flavor and body are very nice.
This Cab is from the 337 Clone. It is fruit forward with strawberry and blackberry flavor and strong plum notes with a mineral finish. This wine is noticeably acidic.
This wine has a beautiful strawberry nose with a hint of alcohol. The flavor is raspberry and blueberry. The wine is noticeably acidic.
